NEWCASTLE — Adria Doane scored 20 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and anchored Brunswick’s defense as the Dragons’ Orange team defeated Lincoln Academy, 73-37 in girls’ high school junior varsity basketball action on Tuesday.
The Dragons raced out to a 20-8 first-quarter advantage and extended their lead to 35-19 at the half.
Brunswick closed with a 23-7 advantage in the fourth quarter of the fast-paced game.
Hannah Fortier scored 14 points for Brunswick, hitting three 3-point field goals. Kendall Dow added 11 points and Emily Cloutier chipped in with 10 transition points.
Lizzy Ober led the Eagles with nine points.
Chloe Coombs, Tanisha McKenzie and MacKenzie Dorr led Brunswick’s swarming defense.
