ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Larry A. Allard, Sr., 76, of St. Cloud, Florida, formerly of Biddeford, joined the angels on Dec. 20, 2017.

He was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire, on Dec. 13, 1941, to Troy Winfred and Susie Alberta (Townsend) Allard.

On March 21, 1964, he married his love: Samantha (Sam) B. Foran in Old Orchard Beach.

Larry held a variety of jobs, most using his skills as a professional body man who was passionate about custom paint jobs. At Beach Ridge Speedway, he merged his passions for bodywork and stock car racing, by racing cars fast and patching them up.

Ever thoughtful, he invited colleagues and strangers over who would otherwise be alone for major holidays. The year of “no trick or treating,” he planned a Halloween party for hundreds of Biddeford’s children. Loving Christmas, he volunteered as Santa for more than 100 holiday parties over the years in Biddeford and Saco with Sam as Mrs. Claus.

Larry’s daily goal was to make people laugh. Whether friends at Old Town, nurses when hospitalized or random strangers, his kindness to others was a lesson for all. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In retirement, Larry spent many years anonymously restoring angels and statues at local cemeteries.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: wife, Samantha; brothers-in-law, William and Robert Foran; and grandson, Nicholas Vachon.

He is survived by: daughters, Lori Littlefield and husband, Dana, Sherri Baud, and Jodi Allard; son, Larry A. Allard Jr.; grandchildren, Dustin Dyer, Kristen Carll and husband, Nick, Morgan Gregoire, Devin Littlefield and wife, Monica, and Delani Littlefield; great-grandchildren, Raine McClure, and Harper and Jackson Carll; brother, Garry Allard and wife, Donna; sisters, Jacquie Tate and Shirley and husband, Bob Hebert; brother-in-law, Paul Foran; nephew, Wesley; nieces, Paula, Amy and Chantel; best friend, Billy Rich; lifelong friend, Ellen; and many relatives, who were also very dear friends.

Private services will be held at a later date.
