FREEPORT — Rachel Wall scored 22 of Freeport’s 45 points en route to a narrow 45-41 win over Mt. Ararat on Friday in high school jayvee girls basketball action.
Wall scored seven of her team’s nine points in the final frame.
Mt. Ararat was led by Maddie Daulerio with 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Jaden Lohr picked up eight points, 11 boards and four steals, and Lauren Magno six points, nine rebounds, four steals.
The Falcons received outstanding play from Hannah Groves (10 points) and Annika Thomas. Freeport converted 6-of-22 from the freethrow line, while the Eagles were 1-of-11.
Freeport will host rival Yarmouth on Friday.
