MCDONALD’S AT COOK’S CORNER IN BRUNSWICK had its grand reopening in mid-December. Owners Steve and Taylor Goble of TMM, Inc. presented $500 checks to the Brunswick Police and Fire departments for their respective charities, while the Brunswick High School girls varsity basketball team helped with face painting, assisted Santa and mingled with guests. Also participating at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Deb King, director of the Brunswick Downtown Association; David Watson, Brunswick town councilor; representatives of McDonald’s corporate regional office, and local management staff. During this month and February, the restaurant will have Community Monday Nights, where 20 percent of sales between 5 and 7 p.m. will go to participating nonprofits, including The Teen Center, People Plus, Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program, Boy Scout Troop 633, BDA, Coastal Humane Society and American Legion Post 20.
