Margaret “Grammy” Couture will be lovingly remembered by her daughter in-law, Gloria Couture of Brunswick, three grandchildren, Nicole & (Chris) Folger of Topsham, Matt & (Lindsey) Couture of Durham, Marc Couture of Cumberland, RI / (Nicole ex.) of Franklin, MA, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Couture, son, Lawrence “Herkie” Couture, Jr., parents, Alfred & Mary Atkins, and siblings, Lillian LeBourdais, Alfred (Bud) Atkins, Hazel Fournier and Andrew Atkins.
Margaret was a gentle, friendly woman who built and cherished several long-lasting relationships with friends and neighbors in the community. She enjoyed gardening and knitting but mostly treasured time spent with loved ones.
Visiting hours will be held in Margaret’s honor on January 18, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St in Brunswick. Burial service will be held in the spring.
