FREEPORT — Robert (Bob) V. Toothaker III, age 43, of Freeport, Maine, died unexpectedly on January 13, 2018, of natural causes.

Born to Angelina and Robert Toothaker Jr. in Brunswick on December 19, 1974, he was elected to the Freeport School Board right out of high school at age 18.

Bob continued his education to achieve a master’s degree in business, but found his calling as a case manager for Woodford’s Family Services, providing community-based services to individuals with special needs.

Bob was a member in good standing of the Greek Orthodox Church in Portland. Bob was a kind and giving man who quietly and generously gave to those around him in need. He enjoyed his family, his work, his faith and was an avid fan of Star Wars and movies in general.

As he was gentle, caring and full of love, Bob made sure to spend quality time with all of his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and the individuals he dedicated his life to.
