Central Maine Power Company will begin a tree trimming and removal project in Freeport next Monday.
The work will take place over a two- to three-month span, as part of the utility’s five-year trimming program to help prevent downed power lines.
CMP Spokeswoman Gail Rice said this tree work is completed every year for around one-fifth of the company’s transmission line. She advised the public to watch for the trucks, keep a wide berth and use caution.
Tree trimming and removal is also scheduled to take place in Bath and Phippsburg before the end of June.
