Patricia A. Skillin, 76, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born May 27, 1941 in Richmond, ME to Edward and Flora (McCormick) Murphy. Pat grew up in Woolwich and married Edward M. Skillin on December 1, 1956. They resided together in Phippsburg, ME for 61 years.

She went to Morse High School and got her GED at a later time. Pat went on to become a Lab Tech, she drove a school bus, worked at planned parenthood, then became partner in the family business driving trucks, running the office and managing the trailer park.

Pat was a lifetime member of the Phippsburg Sportsmen Assn.

Pat was always there for anyone that needed help. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She put on large family dinners that anyone was welcome to. Pat and ed enjoyed traveling and going out to eat.

She was predeceased by her parents, a stillborn son Melvin, two brothers Edward (Sonny) Murphy and John Murphy, two sisters Noreen Young and Florence (Tootie) Lavers, mother in law Thelma Skillin, brother in law Breese Skillin and nephew Windy Skillin.

Pat is survived by her husband Ed, three daughters Tina and David Crockett, Mary Ann Ordway, Ronda and Steve Letourneau, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, sister in law and brother in law Gail and Reggie Read, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Maine Medical Center for their great care of Pat.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on March 11, 2018 at the Phippsburg Sportsmen Club from 2 to 4.
