Chris Amisi had 22 points, and Jared Tamalea’a added 19 as the Pine Tree Academy boys defeated Rangeley, 55- 33, in Class D South action.
The Breakers defeated the Lakers for the second straight day to improve to 9- 7, while Rangeley fell to 8-7.
Pine Tree led 10-5, 20-8 and 42-18 at the quarter breaks.
Kyle LaRochelle picked up 11 points for the Lakers.
The Breakers visit Buckfield Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
Girls hockey
FALMOUTH — The Brunswick girls won its sixth game with a 3-1 victory over Falmouth at the Falmouth Family Ice Center.
Hanna Wentworth saved 26 of 27 shots for the Dragons, who improved to 6-11 and visits rival Mt. Ararat/Morse on Saturday at Watson Arena. Face-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
Brunswick jumped on top at 11:45 of the first period. Emily Factor scored on the power play, with Elena Palmer and Harriet Peabody assisting.
Lydia Ginty doubled the Dragon lead at 10:15 of the second period off an assist from Madeline Berry.
Reade Carmichael scored for the Yachtsmen (5-11-1) with 3:04 remaining in the second to get Falmouth to 2- 1.
But, Berry tallied off a rebound of a Ginty shot just 1:42 into the third for the final goal.
Shea Sullivan, Colleen McKearney and Factor manned the blue line for the Dragons.
Girls basketball
MONMOUTH — Kaeti Butterfield paced Monmouth Academy with 20 points en route to a Mountain Valley Conference 67-23 victory over Wiscasset.
The Wolverines (0-17) conclude their season on Tuesday at home against Mt. Abram (7 p.m.).
The Mustangs (15-1) jumped out to a 21-6 first-quarter lead, held a 31-11 edge at the half and a 41-16 advantage after three.
Lindsey Gordon had 11 points for Wiscasset.

The Breakers put on a better showing in a rematch with the Lakers in Freeport, but Rangeley (14-2) pulled away in the second half for a Class D South win.
Rangeley led 11-7, 15-11 and 22-16 at the quarter breaks one day after defeating Pine Tree, 49-10, at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.
Brooke Egan had a double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
Adriana DePalma paced Pine Tree Academy (3-12) with nine points.
The Breakers visit Buckfield on Saturday at 7 p.m.
