Jonah Sautter scored 17 points on Thursday against Mountain Valley, including his 1,000th career point, but his Lisbon High School boys basketball team dropped a key 58-48 Mountain Valley Conference matchup.
The Greyhounds are 8-8 and on the outside looking in for a postseason spot in the Class B South Heal Point Standings. Meanwhile, the Falcons improved to 11-6.
Will Bean had 11 points, Keegan Davis nine and Will Sorenson seven for Mountain Valley.
DJ Douglass chipped in 13 points for Lisbon, which visits Boothbay on Saturday at 7 p.m. Sean Scott added nine points and Seth Tapley had eight.
Girls basketball
TURNER — Mt. Ararat rallied in the second half, but Leavitt came away with a 52- 48 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference overtime win.
The Eagles (4-12) trailed 26- 16 at the half, but closed to 35- 28 after three. Mt. Ararat outscored the Hornets, 16-9, in the fourth to end regulation even at 44.
Sophia Gilbert paced the
win with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Kayleigh Gilbert had 14.
Lauren Sturgess nailed four 3-pointers for Mt. Ararat to lead with 16 points. Alexa Eaton had 13 points and five rebounds, while Sturgess pulled in eight caroms and Theresa Breed seven. Caitlyn Smith dished out five assists, with Kyla Greenleaf chipping in four helpers.
Mt. Ararat visits Medomak Valley on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Marley Groat had a solid all-around game as the visiting Dragons rolled to a KVAC win over Biddeford.
Brunswick (16-0) coach Sam Farrell, who picked up his 100th home coaching victory for the Dragons on Tuesday, saw his team lead 16-5, 33-19 and 55-26 at the quarter breaks.
Groat had 17 points, eight assists and four steals to pace Brunswick, with Sabrina Armstrong adding 14 points and five rebounds. Mackenzie Burrows and Charlotte MacMillan split 20 points down the middle.
Grace Martin went 16-of- 17 from the free-throw line, leading the Tigers (4-11) with 18 points.
Brunswick visits Edward Little on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Unified
LISBON — Ben Dumont had 10 points to lead Edward Little to a 33-25 win over Lisbon.
Gage Cloutier chipped in eight points for the Red Eddies, with Kegan Kenny adding six.
Dawson Martel had a solid game for the Greyhounds with eight points, while Wesley Lucas finished with six and Kristy Coleman four. Michael Farrington, Misty Coleman and Lynn Feeley were solid on defense.
Lisbon hosts Oak Hill on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
