BRUNSWICK

Mt. Ararat/ Lisbon/ Morse forward Noah Austin sat on 99 career points heading into the Eagles’ “ Senior Night” contest against Lawrence/ Skowhegan/MCI.

The junior hit the century mark with a shorthanded goal in the first period as the host Eagles cruised to a 6-1 victory Saturday night at Watson Arena.

Austin finished with two goals and an assist on the night, while Nick Austin scored a goal and added an assist. Captain Noah Buiniskas also added a goal and assist for the streaking Eagles (9-8), who also got goals from Cam Poisson and Andrew Pulsifer. Noah Magda and Matt Lawrence chipped in with an assist apiece, and goaltender Cade Charron made 16 saves to earn the victory.

Sean Savage scored the lone goal for the Bandits (0- 15) on assists by Bryson Dostie and Hunter Stevens. Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI netminder Hunter Raye was solid despite taking the loss, making 36 saves.

The Eagles wrap up their regular season when they travel to Auburn to play Edward Little Wednesday night at Norway Savings Bank Arena. Puck drops at 8:40 p.m.

State B Track

LEWISTON — The State Class B Indoor Track Championships were held on Saturday at Bates College.

In the girls meet, Greely won the title with 63 points, edging Brewer (54.83 points), Belfast (38), Orono (35.33) and York (33).

Freeport finished ninth with 14 points. Tara Migliaccio earned a second-place finish in the 400-meter run in 1:02.03, and took seventh in the 55 dash (7.82).

Maya Bradbury claimed fifth in the one-mile run in 5:37.21, while Shaina Curry was sixth in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-10.

The lone point for Morse came in the 800, as Sydney McCarren was seventh in 2:36.50.

The boys title also went to Greely, which accumulated 68 points to out-distance runner-up John Bapst (54). Brewer (50.50), Hermon (50) and York (45.50) rounded out the top five.

Freeport had nine points for 15th. Joe Ashby took second in the 800 (2:05.75), while Nick Mitch was seventh in the 400 (54.85).

State A Boys Swim

ORONO — The championship was held Saturday at the University of Maine, with Brunswick and Mt. Ararat in action.

The Dragons claimed third place with 174 points, while Cheverus won its sixth straight State Class A title with 328 points. Bangor was second at 250, while Waterville/Winslow ( 152) and Portland ( 145) rounded out the top five.

Brunswick had two champions on the day, with Brian Hess capturing the 50-yard freestyle in 21.87, while Matt Yost won the 100 free in 49.13. Hess followed up his win by claiming second in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.64).

The day started well for the Dragons, who claimed second in the 200 medley relay behind the efforts of Nicco Bartone, Hess, Yost and Sam Washington, finishing in 1:41.74.

Yost was sixth in the 200 free, touching in 1: 55.42, while Bartone claimed fourth in the 200 IM in 2:06.18.

Washington earned points in the 100 butterfly (13th, 1:00.96), Bartone was fifth in the 100 backstroke ( 56.47) and Washington 14th in the 100 back (1:03).

Brunswick finished the day by taking second in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:25.35. Yost, Washington, Bartone and Hess handled a leg each.

Mt. Ararat took 17th, scoring 45 points on the day.

The Eagles’ foursome of Samuel Wright, Devin Hoskins, Robert Hyde and Max Bickford claimed 10th in the 200 medley relay. In the 200 free relay, Hoskins, Bickford, Wright and Hyde teamed up to claim 16th place in 1:43.28.

Individually, Hoskins was 10th in the 200 IM (2:12.27) and ninth in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.74), and Hyde claimed ninth in the 50 free (24.09) and 13th in the 100 free (54.15).

The girls State Class A meet is today in Orono, while the State Class B girls are at Bowdoin College today, followed by the Class B boys on Tuesday.
