KENNEBUNK — Richard A. Moore passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at the age of 88.

He was born on Dec. 31, 1929 in Biddeford, Maine, the son of Richard E. and Marie (Bolduc) Moore, and was married to Lucia S. (Pepin) Moore for 61 years.

He is survived by three daughters, Karen E. Moore and her husband Bob McHugh of Telluride, Colorado, Kathy Moore Donoghue and her husband Michael of Kittery Point, Maine, Lynn Moore of Telluride, Colorado and six grandchildren: Abby Donoghue, Jake Donoghue, Devon McHugh, Katy Gumble, Taylor Gumble, and Gage Wilson. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucia.

Raised in Biddeford, he graduated from St. Louis High School in 1948, and the University of New Hampshire in 1954. He worked at the First National Bank of Biddeford (Maine National Bank) from 1954 until he retired as a Vice President in 1985. He served on the Board of Directors at the Webber Hospital and the Biddeford Saco Water Company. He was a member of the St. Louis Alumni Association and BPOE Elks Club.

He and Lucia resided on Graham Street in Biddeford for 60 years, enjoying summers at their cottage at Hills Beach, and winters in Venice, Florida after he retired.

Richard was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed a good joke, telling stories, happy hours in Kennebunkport, and playing cards with friends. He also loved to body surf with his grandchildren at Biddeford Pool, regardless of the water temperature. He bowled in the Hiccup Bowling League, and was a member at Dutch Elm Golf Course.

A service will be held at a time date to be announced on the Hope Memorial Chapel website.
