HILTON HEAD, S.C. — The Thomas College men’s tennis team opened its 2018 spring trip with a tough 5-4 loss to Webster University on Saturday morning at the Evian Tennis Center.
The Terriers fell to 0-1, while the Gorloks improved to 1-1.
Thomas trailed 2-1 after doubles. Brunswick native Ross Munn teamed with Kaleb Payson at No. 2 doubles, dropping a 9-8 decision (7-5 tiebreaker).
Munn bounced back in singles, rolling to a 6-0, 7-6 (7-2) win at the No. 2 spot.
The Terriers take on Shepherd University today.
