High winds closed two main roads in Raymond for about three hours on Saturday after trees fell on power lines, according to a Cumberland County dispatcher.

A section of Route 121, or Meadow Road, was closed, as was Route 85 near the Egypt Road intersection, according to Alix Greenleaf.

Winds were blowing at 32 mph at the Portland International Jetport on Saturday, with gusts up to 49 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

In Windham, a large tree fell across Park Road, knocking out power and blocking the street, according to Windham police.

Late Saturday afternoon, Central Maine Power reported 1,875 customers in Cumberland County without power, including 913 in Raymond, 347 in Windham, 321 in Gray, and 211 in Naples. But by 7:41 p.m., there were just 100 outages in Cumberland County, 91 of them in Naples and the rest in Raymond.
