BRUNSWICK — The Maine Interscholastic Swim League presented awards recognizing the achievements of swimmers over the past year, with a number of local athletes receiving honors.
The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Swimmers of the Year Awards went to Brian Hess of Brunswick and Olivia Harper of Morse.
The All-State team included Hess and his Brunswick teammate Matt Yost. Making the All-State squad on the girls side were Morse swimmers Olivia Harper, Hailey Harper and Ella Martin.
The conference also recognized academic achievements with the “Academic All State Team.” Honorees included Mt Ararat’s Abigail Anderson, Madelin Svetin and Devin Hoskins and, from Brunswick Tessa Alexander, Sophie Blair, Emily Coffin, Anna Rider, Elina Woolever, Jeremy Vuong and Hess.
