The Khemtrails are a funky rock four-piece creating a buzz. Seasoned veterans of their craft, they’ll be performing fun, danceable music for all ages at 6 p.m. Donations accepted. The Lighthouse Jubilees will hold a Southern Gospel Concert at the Buxton Center Baptist Church on 938 Long Plains Rd. Rt. 22 on Sunday, March 25th from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Come, and bring a friend. For more information call 572-4367. Offering taken.

The Windham Chamber Singers will showcase their spring tour program on Saturday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail in Windham.  Performing under Dr. Richard Nickerson’s leadership, this group has been the pride of Windham and Raymond and is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year! Tickets will be sold at the door ($12 adults, $10 seniors/students).  The box office opens at 6:00 pm. For more information please call 892-7149 or email [email protected].

“Willy Wonka Jr.” presented by Windham Center Stage Theater, 8 School Rd, in the Windham Town Hall. Ninety talented kids in two casts. March 9-25. The Denmark Arts Center and Centennial Hall will co-host a family-friendly Contradance on Saturday, March 24th at 6 p.m. at Centennial Hall on Route 160 in Denmark. Birds on a Wire with caller Eric Rollnick will perform. A teaching session will begin at 6 p.m. for the first ½ hour. All are welcome to this family-friendly dance and potluck (bring a dish to pass if you are so inclined.) A $10 donation is suggested. Spark! Maine ART Stories, Maine Historical Society, 489 Congress St., Portland. Explores ways Mainers express themselves, featuring 16 diverse and contemporary Maine artists.

April 14 and 15

The Maine Mineralogical and Geological Society Gem Show, hosted by St. Joseph’s College will take place on Saturday, April 14 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 15 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Alfond Center of the Sebago Lake campus in Standish, Maine. This is the 35th annual MMGS Show and the biggest in the state. It features renowned local and international vendors, one-of-a-kind mineral specimens, fossils, meteorites, gemstones, and engaging educational programs and kids’ activities.
