U.S. Masters competitors demonstrated athletic excellence and inspiring determination recently at Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Center in Landover, Maryland, as more national titles and records were clinched on the final day of USATF Masters Indoor Championships.
A total of 15 pending world age group records were set throughout the three-day meet.
Brunswick’s Jerry LeVasseur was busy during the event. He placed second in the triple jump in the 80- year-old division and helped the 4 x 200 relay win in 3:38.35.
LeVasseur was part of a record-setting performance in the 4 x 800 relay, knocking two-and-a-half minutes off the world and national record time and finishing in 17:52.69.
In the 4 x 400 relay, LeVasseur was part of another record-setting performance, as his foursome completed the event in 7:20.95.
