
He was born in Biddeford May 1, 1934, the son of George and Mildred Record Danis.
Carle attended local schools, worked at the Lyman Harris Dairy Farm, and graduated from Thornton Academy.
His employment included Sandler Auto Parts, Biddeford United Auto Parts and later as the owner and operator of Arundel Auto Service. Carle could be found most days at the garage working right up until his passing.
Carle had been involved in the construction of their first fire truck for the Town of Arundel and where he served as the First Fire Chief for the Town for over 20 years. He also served as Constable for the Town of Arundel.
He enjoyed traveling, including trip to Alaska, various National Parks and many trips to Disney World with grandchildren and old time country music.
He is predeceased by his first wife Joan Pinkham Danis.
Survivors include his wife Diane Barden Danis of Arundel; a son Bud Danis and wife Marilyn of Kennebunkport; and stepsons Brian Roy and wife Amanda of Lyman and and Stephen Roy and wife Laurie of Wakefield; three daughters Carlene E. Danis and husband Zeigh Owensby of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Patti Chamberlin and husband Daniel of Sanford, and Betty Guay and husband David of Kennebunk; brothers Ralph I. Danis of Arundel, Roy Danis of Epping, New Hampshire and Harold Danis of Shapleigh; sisters Evelyn Goulden of Arundel, Lois Lefebvre of Oxford, Michigan, Diane Ziobron of Moodus, Connecticut and Yvonne Souliere of Sierra Vista, Aarizona; six grandchildren Erin, Jessica, Amanda, Gregory, Jordan and Maggie; four stepgrandchildren Katie and Cameron, and his IMPS Alexa and Megan; great-grandchildren Morgan, Nicolas, Ella, Noah, Michael, Sarah, Caleb, Langley and Carson; and one step great-grandchild Alexis.
Friends and relatives may call Wednesday April 4, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco. Private family funeral services will be held at a later date.
Burial will follow at Arundel Cemetery.
