When a customer comes into the barbershop, the staff takes 30 minutes with the customer, making sure the customer gets the best cut possible, said Trajanoski.
“We specialize in really top-notch fading,” said fellow barber CJ Manuel.
A short haircut is not just a “buzz cut,” at Defined Lines Barbershop. Staff take care to assure lines are sharp and hair is expertly tapered.
“That’s what makes a haircut pop,” said Trajanoski.
In addition to haircuts, the staff at Defined Lines also do beard trims and shaves with hot towel treatment.
The barbershop is located at 50 Old Orchard St., in the heart of Old Orchard Beach and a short walk from the beach.
Trajanoski, who has ten years experience as a barber, and for several years worked alongside Manuel at a barbershop in Portland’s Old Port.
When he found out that a former hair salon on top of the hill in downtown Old Orchard Beach, was available, he jumped on the chance to open up his own shop.
“I live in Old Orchard Beach and I really like this area,” he said.
He said he wanted to offer something different in York County, offering an experience typically available in Portland.
Defined Lines sets itself apart from other barbershops by offering scheduled appointments and online booking. Trajanoski said that many people these days are busy and do not have the time to sit and wait for a haircut. Scheduled appoints assure that customers can fit haircuts into their schedule and that barbers can take the time to do a good job.
Defined Lines is currently open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hours may be expanded in the summer. Special rates are available for seniors, military and children.
