AUGUSTA — The Maine Legislature has honored Craig Pendleton, the executive director of the Biddeford+Saco Chamber of Commerce+Industry with a Legislative Sentiment in recognition of his being named the Professional of the Year Award from the Maine State Chamber of Commerce.

State and Regional Chambers of Commerce were in Augusta for Business Day at the State House on April 13.

“The Biddeford-Saco region is booming and Craig is a big part of that,” said State. Sen. Susan Deschambault of Biddeford. “Craig has a long history in both cities and that experience has helped him grow the Chamber to the benefit of our communities.”

State Sen. Justin Chenette of Saco agreed.

“Craig is often the first person new business owners talk to when they come to Biddeford or Saco, and with good reason,” Chenette said. “He’s one of our best ambassadors to new businesses and he’s incredibly deserving of this honor.”

A Legislative Sentiment is a significant expression by the Maine Legislature in recognition of civic and public achievements.
