GORHAM — Sophomores Ruth Nadeau of Bath, Megan Violette and Allison Irish each recorded a hat trick as the University of Southern Maine women’s lacrosse defeated visiting Rhode Island College, 14-6, in Little East Conference action Saturday afternoon at Hannaford Field.
The win was the second straight, and sixth in the last eight games, for the Huskies and improved their record to 9-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Anchorwomen dropped their eight consecutive game to fall to 1-9 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
Nadeau was an offensive force, adding two assists to her hat trick for a five-point day.
Southern Maine hits the road on Tuesday (4 p.m.), traveling to Plymouth State University.
