HARPSWELL — Carolee A. Brown, 80, of Orr’s Island, ME passed Thursday April 18, 2018 at her home with family by her side. She was born on January 14, 1938 in Fort Kent, ME, the daughter of Delia Voisine Blanchette and Arthur Blanchette.

Carol attended schools in Topsham and Brunswick. She worked at the Post Office on Orr’s Island as a clerk for several years and retired from the Brunswick Post Office in 1995.

In 1958, she married Donald Brown and the couple resided on Orr’s Island where they raised their family. Her family was her life, and she took great joy in their watching.

She was predeceased by her parents, and six siblings: Rynell Labbe, Freeland Blanchette, Ione Ullrich, Joan Sweetser, Patricia Ingerson, Laurel Blanchette, and Barbara Laberge.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Brown of Orr’s Island; a daughter, Susan McIntire and her husband Dana of Harpswell; and a son, James Brown of North Yarmouth; two grandchildren, Chris McIntire of Orr’s Island, and Anne McIntire of Harpswell.

At Carol’s request there will be no funeral service. Interment will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Topsham at a later date.

Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
