YARMOUTH — Avesta Housing and Yarmouth Senior Housing held a grand opening of their affordable community for seniors at 31 Bartlett Circle on Tuesday, May 1. 

The two nonprofits worked together to develop Bartlett Woods, a 28-unit senior housing community, serving residents 55 and older. 

The three-story building includes an elevator, laundry room, community room with a warming kitchen, an interior trash and recycling room, and 27 on-site parking spaces. 

The grand opening included apartment tours and remarks from Dan Brennan, director of MaineHousing, Avesta President Dana Totman, Yarmouth Senior Housing Chairman Mark Primeau and Town Council Chairwoman Pat Thompson.
