A North Yarmouth man died from his injuries after his motorcycle collided with a truck Friday afternoon.
Police say Matthew MacMillian, 24, was driving a 2006 Kawasaki on Desert Road at around 3:15 p.m. when he struck a 2014 Toyota pickup driven by Jonathan Thomas, 63, of Cumberland, that was towing a boat trailer and was pulling onto the Exit 20 ramp on Interstate 295.
MacMillian sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
“The occupants of the truck were shaken up, but not injured,” a press release states.
The Desert Road overpass was closed to traffic for several hours after the crash while police investigated. That investigation is ongoing.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
