TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School seventh grade softball team picked up its first win of the season Friday at home against Lewiston, 11-1.
The Eagles scored throughout the game, with a a five-run fifth ending the game via the mercy rule.
Reagan Robertson pitched well for the Eagles, striking out 10 while issuing two walks.
The offense was led by Angel Huntsman, Hannah Hawkes, Alex Durant and Alexis Wheeler with two runs each. Amelia Baker was a standout on defense, while Huntsman threw out two base runners trying to steal.
The Eagles, now 1-2, will travel to Tripp on Tuesday before heading to Brunswick on Thursday.
