NEW HIRES
Charles Luce joined Allen Insurance and Financial as a group benefits account manager.
Luce, based at the company’s offices at 31 Chestnut St. in Camden, will work with clients on a variety of insurance products, including group health, life, dental and disability insurance.
He brings decades of experience in the financial services industry.

Robert Myers joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England as an associate broker in its Kennebunk office.
Myers will provide residential real estate services in York and Cumberland counties. He has been helping buyers and sellers since 2014.

Debra Gibb was hired as finance manager for Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
Gibb previously served as director of accounting at Coastal Enterprises Inc., Brunswick.

Cornerstone Financial Planning hired Brittany Landry as manager of the firm’s Union Wharf location in Portland.
Landry, of Falmouth, previously worked for Robert Half, a specialized staffing firm in Portland.

Diversified Communications hired Jane Davis as an account executive.
Davis previously worked for EnsembleIQ, Chicago, Illinois.

PROMOTIONS
Aaron McMorrow was named a partner at Kilbride & Harris Insurance Services, LLC.
McMorrow joined K&H in 2005.

 

 

Wendy Byrd, a group benefits account manager at Allen Insurance and Financial, obtained her State of Maine Life and Health insurance license.
Byrd joined the firm in 2017 and is based in the company’s Benefits Division in Camden. She assists clients with insured benefits questions.

AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England announced that Leo’s Sold Team, whose members are Leo Bourgeault, Lorri Gould and Rick Gould, affiliated with the Saco sales office was named among the top 50 agents in the company for 2017.
Leo’s Sold Team serves York and Cumberland counties.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Maine Medical Center appointed Jere Michelson as chair of its board of trustees and Katherine Coster as vice chair.
Michelson is president of the Libra Foundation in Portland, where he oversees the philanthropic foundation’s operations and finances.

 

Coster has spent most of her career in commercial banking. She became a trustee of MMC in 2013 and chairs the board education and research committee.

 

Maine Public Relations Council announced its newest board members.
Trevor Jones is vice president of marketing, sales and customer service at OTELCO. Jones has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years.
Yury Nabokov is a social media and digital marketing strategist. He teaches social media marketing at Husson University and works full time at Machias Savings Bank as the innovation and digital strategy manager.
Leah Williams has a degree in digital journalism from Endicott College, and currently serves as social media and marketing assistant at Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution.
Meg Handlin is a senior client manager/pr strategist at Broadreach Public Relations. She recently earned the APR accreditation in public relations.

GENERAL
Sarah Ruef-Lindquist, of Allen Financial, was the featured speaker at the May meeting of the MDI Nonprofit Alliance.
Ruef-Lindquist spoke about policy foundations and recognition practices necessary to have fiscally-sound and successful planned giving programs.
