BATH — Mid-Coast communities are celebrating Memorial Day with parades on Monday, May 28.

Brunswick and Topsham will hold their traditional joint parade starting at 8:30 a.m. in Topsham on the plaza at Town Hall and ending in Brunswick on the Town Mall.

The parade will begin with an observance in Topsham, then march down Route 201, across the Frank J. Wood Bridge, where it will pause for the laying of a wreath. An observance will take place at the Brunswick Town Mall gazebo at 11 a.m.

American Legion Post 21 in Bath will hold a morning parade.

The parade will be assembling at the post at 200 Congress Ave. at 10 a.m. and step off at 10:30 a.m. The route continues to Lincoln Street, pausing for a wreath-laying ceremony at a soldier’s monument on Centre Street.

The march then heads to Front Street and Linden Street and ends with a memorial service at Library Park.

Harpswell’s parade will begin at the Old Town House, Harpswell Neck, at 11 a.m., followed by refreshments at Centennial Hall. A wreath laying, sponsored by American Legion Post 171, will precede the parade at 10:15 a.m. at the Ewing Narrows Bridge.
