SANFORD — Margaret (Peggy) Guillemette passed away on May 22 of natural causes.
She was born in Milton Mills, New Hampshire to Lewis Piper and June Piper, she moved to Sanford, Maine and married Rene Guillemette.
As a long time resident of Sanford, she enjoyed decades of friendships that she made with the Sanford Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary and the Sanford National Guard unit. She loved hosting dinner on Wednesday nights and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rene Guillemette; sons Michael Guillemette and Scott Guillemette; daughter Renee (Guillemette) Crochet; son-in-law Rob Crochet; daughter-in-law Kristi Guillemette; her brother David Piper; and six grandchildren, Nate Guillemette, Nick Guillemette, Matt Guillemette, Josh Guillemette, Gaven Crochet, and Kailey Crochet; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours with a funeral service will be held at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St. in Springvale, on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m.
