AUGUSTA — Legislative candidates in districts representing Falmouth, Cumberland, North Yarmouth, Yarmouth, Freeport, Cheabeague Island, Durham and Pownal are uncontested in the June 12 party primaries.

In Senate District 24, which covers Freeport, Brunswick and Harpswell, incumbent Sen. Eloise Vitelli, D-Arrowsic, is running for re-election. The Republican candidate is Susan Waserott.

In Senate District 25, which covers Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth, Chebeague Island and Gray, incumbent Cathy Breen, D-Falmouth, is seeking re-election. The Republican candidate is David Savage.

In House District 43, which includes Falmouth and part of Portland, two newcomers are unopposed to seek the seat being vacated by Rep. Heather Sanborn, D-Portland, who is running for the state Senate. The Democrat is Edward Crockett and the Republican is Cathleen Nichols.

In House District 44, which covers the other half of Falmouth, incumbent Rep. Theresa Pierce, a Democrat, is seeking re-election. The Republican candidate is Sarah Sanalin and the Green Independent candidate is Kathryn Schrock.

In House District 45, which covers Cumberland and part of Gray, incumbent Rep. Dale Denno, D-Cumberland, is seeking re-election. The Republican is Tamsin Thomas.

In House District 46, which includes Durham, Pownal and North Yarmouth, incumbent Rep. Paul Chace, R-Durham, is running for re-election. The Democratic candidate is Braden Sharpe.

In House Distric 47, which covers Chebeague Island and Yarmouth, incumbent Rep. Janice Cooper, D-Yarmouth, is seeking re-election. The Republican candidate is Richard Snow.

And in House District 48, which represents Freeport and Pownal, House Speaker Sara Gideon, D-Freeport, is running for re-election. The Republican candidate is Paul Schulz.
