BIDDEFORD — Dolores Irene Clark, 77, of Biddeford, passed away on May 25, 2018, at Evergreen Manor in Saco.

She was born June 3, 1940 in Biddeford, a daughter of Lionel W. and Marie-Rose (Cote) Binette. Dolores attended Biddeford and Saco schools while helping to care for her younger siblings. One of the proudest moments in her life was graduating from high school at age 45 with her former daughter-in-law Renita Ireland Clark by her side.

On April 3, 1961, Dolores married the love of her life, Orrin E. Clark. Though short, they enjoyed their eight years together creating a family with the birth of their two sons, Orrin and William.

After her late husband’s passing from a heart attack in 1968, Dolores raised her children on her own, showing strength and courage, while continuing to run the motel business she started with her husband. The Orrin and Corrin Motel was a landmark on the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Saco Avenue of Old Orchard Beach for nearly 40 years, until Dolores retired in 1998. Dolores possed strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds. The only bad habit Dolores would admit to was her love of playing bingo and being a sore loser. Just ask her friends, family and former guests. The family remembers her sense of humor and zest for life. She will be sadly missed by many.

Dolores is predeceased by her great-granddaughter Makenzie, who was taken too soon from this earth and her husband Orrin Sr.

She is survived by her loving sons, Orrin E. Clark Jr., and partner Gail, and William D. Clark and wife Lisa; grandchildren Will Clark and partner Danielle, Daniel Clark and wife Cathyrn, Scott Clark and partner Andrea, Shannon Jackson and husband Adam; and great-grandchildren Mya, Joy, Bryce, Austin, Scottie Jr, and Troy. She is also survived by her siblings Rachel Letellier and husband Sherman, Leo Binette and partner Penny, Gail Stephens and husband John, and Richard Lemay and wife Irene. Several loving nieces and nephews, and cousins will miss Dolores’ sense of humor and zest for life. Her best friends Helene and Roman Totoes and Amie Angers will miss her presence next door.
