BRUNSWICK — Doris L. Farmer, age 81, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Doris was born in Waterville, the daughter of Clifton and Lorena (Jacques) McKechnie, and attended local schools.
She worked at Health-Tex for a time before going to work at Bath Iron Works, where she worked for many years as a Technical Clerk.
She enjoyed doing Cryptograms, shopping and going out to eat.
In her younger years, Doris attended St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick.
Doris is predeceased by her husband, Beverly Farmer; a son, Gary Farmer; and a daughter, Virginia
Condon.
She leaves behind two sons, John Farmer of Harpswell, and Darrell Douglas, and his wife, Judy of Pittston, Maine; a daughter, Crystal Dutton of Brunswick with whom Doris made her home; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM Monday, June 11, at the Varney Cemetery in Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Doris’s memory to be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011.
