LISBON
Police say they have charged a Lisbon man with aggravated assault after he turned himself in at Androscoggin County Jail.
Lisbon Police Chief Marc Hagan said police were called to the Frosthill Avenue home Saturday at 11:44 p.m. for a 31-year-old female victim who had allegedly been assaulted. Hagan said 34-year-old Chad Pomerleau left the scene prior to police arriving.
The victim initially declined medical treatment, but did receive treatment the next day, Hagan said.
Pomerleau turned himself in Sunday evening at the jail and no bail was allowed, according to Hagan. He is scheduled to appear in Androscoggin County Court on July 11.
Three days before this incident, Lisbon police were called to a domestic dispute on Winter Street at 5:40 p.m. on May 30.
Hagan said Guy Brissette,
58, allegedly assaulted a 53-year-old woman. She declined transport to a hospital.
Brissette, charged with domestic violence assault, was taken to Androscoggin County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Androscoggin County Court on July 11.
Hagan said Brissette was not allowed bail because of a previous domestic violence conviction on his record.
