Alfred artist Hilary Zayed will display her work at Goodall Memorial Library, 952 Main St. in Sanford during the month of July. A Meet the Artist event is set for 11 a.m. to noon June 30. Zayed’s art is a journey of insights drawn from a recent life altering brain injury. She now teaches art to a group of women with acquired brain injuries and helps brain injury survivors create a story mask for a national project “Unmasking Brain Injury.” Zayed also gives presentations about reinventing oneself after brain injury through her art and speaking engagements.
