Maxine was one of five children born to the late George and Martha Tinney in Bath, Maine.

She was educated in the Bath Public School system.

Maxine married Nath Price, who was a young sailor from the state of Georgia. To this union were born three children: Dwight, Barry, and Dale Ann. Maxine and Nath were later divorced.

Maxine joined the Bath Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where her three children were also educated in the Adventist school system in their formative years.

She was employed by Parkview Hospital and eventually became an employee of Bath Iron Works until she retired.

Maxine enjoyed gardening, singing, and cooking. She was known for making wonderful meals and desserts for co-workers and friends. She had a beautiful singing voice and could often be heard by neighbors as she worked in her garden. To further complement her musical talent, Maxine appeared in the productions by “The Chocolate Church” in Bath.

Maxine was preceded in death by all four of her siblings, her son Dwight, and daughter Dale Ann. She leaves to mourn her beloved son Robert Barry Price (Marjorie), seven grandchildren (Ronald Jr., Regina, Sondra, Michael, Dena, Stephanie, and Barry Jr.), and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
