
NETANYA, Israel
Max Rosner recently competed for the Philippines National Lacrosse team in the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championships.
The Brunswick native played defense for the country’s inaugural World Games team.
Rosner, a three- year starter and captain his senior year at Bowdoin College, helped his squad to a spot in the championships where they fell to the No. 9 team from Germany.
Wins include victories over No. 14 Czech Republic (11-6), No. 27 Belgium (11-4), No. 15 Switzerland (11-5), No. 18 Italy (12-11, OT), and No. 6 Scotland ( 12- 6). Besides the setback to Germany, the Philippines also lost to No. 7 Israel, 11-8.
The 5-2 record throughout the tournament earned the team a No. 10 world ranking.
