BIDDEFORD — Lauria Gobeil, 98, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.
She was born June 11, 1920 in Biddeford, a daughter of Ludger and Lydia (Beaupre) Binette and was educated locally at St. Joseph’s School.
As a young woman she had worked at the Pepperell Mills. Later, after raising her children she had worked at Friendship Motel.
Lauria was the widow of Gerard E. Gobeil.
Surviving are her daughter Janice M. Nadeau and her husband Andy, her son Carl Gobeil and his wife Bernadine, her sister, Doris Cote and her husband Leo, all of Biddeford, two grandchildren, Jason and Jill Nadeau, and two stepgrandsons: Mark and Kevin.
There will be no visiting hours. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St.,Biddeford, ME 04005.
