SALEM, Ind. — Donald Robert “Don” Boisvert of Salem Indiana, formerly of Miami, Florida, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Donald was born May 31, 1950 in Biddeford, Maine to the late Renald Norman and Theresa Rita (Gagne) Boisvert.

Donald was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United State Marine Corp (1969 to 1975) and rose to the rank of Sergeant. After leaving the military, Donald worked as an over the road truck driver working for multiple companies and as an Owner/Operator. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Donald married Deborah Jean (Dunbar) Boisvert on May 4, 1979 and was the father to five children: Philip (Donna) Moore of Scottsburg, Indiana, Kelly Marie Goldman who proceeds him in death, Sharon Brewer, Karen Voyles and Michael (Chrystal) Boisvert of Salem, Indiana. He has five grandchildren, Shawn (Danielle) and Amanda Moore, Kenneth and Heather Voyles and Justin Neatherton and five great-grandkids; Austin, Levi, Jackson, Frankie Jo and Dannie May.

Donald is also survived by his brothers Richard (Susan) Boisvert of Miami, Florida and John (Janette) Boisvert of Boone, North Carolina. He was proceeded in death by his brothers Rodney and James.

Family will be hosting a gathering and life celebration on Sept. 1 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Senior Citizens Center. Military services will be held during this time.
