SANFORD — Bernard J. Normand, 73, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born in Sanford on March 8, 1945 a son of the late Henri and Yvonne Normand. He graduated from Holy Family Elementary School, St. Ignatius High School, Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts and the University of Maine Orono.
Beside his parents he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Deacon James Kerrigan.
Survivors include his sister, Muriel T. Kerrigan of Woburn, Massachusetts, brother Deacon Roger M. Normand and his wife, Patricia of North Berwick, Maine, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Thomas School, 69 North Ave, Sanford, ME or to St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Ave., Sanford, Maine 04073.
