Candidates debate

High school students from the “Can We?” project will moderate a debate/discussion with Westbrook candidates for City Council and School Committee in the Westbrook High School auditorium at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Bruce Dyer is the “Can We” advisor at the high school.

Library friends reminder

Poetry reading

Lowry’s Lodge Poetry Series continues at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Continuum for Creativity, 863 Main St., Westbrook.

Mary Snell and Kevin Sweeney are the featured poets this month and Anna Wrobel and Jim Donnelly are hosts. Suggested donations are $4 and light refreshments will be served.
