HARPSWELL — Marie P. (Marie-Paule) Bourgoin, 86, of 35 Laurel Point Circle, a former Lewiston resident, died on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Saint–Michel-du-Squatec, Quebec on January 16, 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Yvonne Roussel Bourgoin, she was educated in Canadian schools before her move to the United States in 1955. She was married to Jean-Paul Bourgoin, who died in 2001.

She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, but worked occasionally in the Lewiston School system. She was a member of Our Lady of the Skies Parish in Brunswick, where she was a member of the church choir.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Daniel L’Heureux of Harpswell; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Cindy Bourgoin of Stuart, Florida; sisters, Therese of Lewiston, Jeannine, Rose-Aimee, Annette, and Giselle, all of Canada; brothers, Maurice and Jacques of Canada; and two grandchildren, Nathan and Christine.

Funeral services will be private.
