DRESDEN – Earl Byron Babcock, age 66, of Dresden, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at camp in Mattawamkeag.
Earl was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Waterville, Maine, the son of Lawrence Babcock and Katherine Bradbury. Earl attended Waterville High School, Curry College, and UMO.
On June 9, 1973 he married his best friend Mary Kolenz.
Earl worked at DHHS. Upon retiring he worked as Recess Teacher for Chop Point School.
He loved his dog, Beau, all sports, and visiting with friends.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary; two sons, Jacob and Earl; daughter, Helena; grandson, Tyler; three brothers, Bill Oliver, Ross Babcock, and Bert Babcock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Oliver; and sister, Barbara Pelc.
A memorial service will be held December 1, 2018, from 10-2, at the home of Janet Tarpley, 994 Washington St. Bath, ME 04530.
