KENNEBUNK  — Sandra Moreau, 71, of Vermont, formerly of Kennebunk, passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.

She was born in Augusta, on June 8, 1947, the daughter of Lionel and Aldea LaVallee.  She grew up in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School, Class of 1965. After high school, she married Roland Ayotte and moved to Connecticut to start a family.

Sandra held a few secretarial jobs in her lifetime, but nothing was more important to her than her two sons, Scott and Jason.  She took pride in everything her sons did.  Her life was her family and she always looked forward to holidays and gatherings.

Sandy was an active member of St. Martha Church in Kennebunk for many years, as well as their Bible Study group.  She looked forward to the suppers the church had and was always there to lend a helping hand.  She had a passion for knitting.  She took great pride in knitting caps for cancer patients, as she was a five- year cancer survivor herself.

Sandra was looking for a new lease on life, and wanted to reconnect with her family.  She recently moved to Vermont to be closer with her brothers.  She was looking forward to her new independence in 2019.  Rest in Peace mom, we love you and you will be missed.

Sandra leaves behind her two sons, Scott Ayotte of Alburg, Vermont, and Jason Ayotte and his wife Michele of Saco, Maine.; her grandchildren, Jake Ayotte of Japan, Joshua Ayotte, Jericho Ayotte and Rozlyn Ayotte, all of Saco; her brothers, Roger LaVallee and Norman LaVallee and his wife Andrea both of Vermont; and her most loved companions “Simon and Rachel” along with many aunts,
and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Martha Church, 30 Portland Road, in Kennebunk on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 at 11 a.m.
