The Westbrook American reported on Feb. 4, 1959, that Ira Alden of Gorham died at 73. He founded a garage in 1915 and was the town’s fire chief for more than 30 years.
Kenneth McKenna of Westbrook celebrated his eighth birthday at a luncheon party at home on Saco Street.
