South Portland – Barbara Grégoire-Holman of South Portland, beloved wife of the late J. Harrison Holman, III of South Portland, Maine and formerly of Orr’s Island, Maine, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Barbara was born on March 27, 1934, the daughter of Irene Veronica Allaire Grégoire, and Hubert Alfred Grégoire.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Margaret Jane Grégoire of Saco, Maine, and her brother, Richard Alfred Grégoire of Everett, Massachusetts. She is also survived by step-children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, along with cousins, extended family and friends, all of whom Barbara loved and treasured and whom she felt had made her life rich and rewarding.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11a.m. Thursday, February7, at Holy Cross Church, 124 Cottage Road, South Portland. Interment will be in the spring at Orr’s Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Orr’s/Bailey Island Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 177, Orr’s Island, Maine 04066.
