Bath – Winnifred E. (Stilphen) Davis, 85, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Winship Green Nursing Home in Bath.
She was born in Orr’s Island on April 21, 1936, a daughter of Harry F. and Elizabeth (Beck) Stilphen. She was the youngest and the last surviving child of seven siblings.
She attended Morse High School and in 1953 she married Donald W. Davis. Winnifred received her G.E.D. in the 70’s. She was employed at Coastal Economic Development and also did home care.
She was a former member of the American Legion in Bath.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald W. Davis, Sr. in 1979, a daughter, Holly J. Davis Rosco in 1996 and Ornie Haines with whom she found love after a lot of loss in her life.
She leaves behind four sons, Donnie, Mike, Sheldon and Timothy, her daughter, Betsy Peavey and her husband Henry, all of the Bath, Woolwich and Wiscasset area, many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
