LIMERICK — A man armed with a handgun walked into Village Variety at 32 Main St. on Monday morning and demanded money, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

No one was hurt in the robbery, which took place at around 9:30 a.m., said York County Sheriff William L. King Jr.

A clerk was on duty at the time, King said, but there were no customers in the store when the robbery took place.

“Deputies are working diligently on the case,” King said.

He said he couldn’t confirm what was taken by the suspect.
