BRUNSWICK – Theodore G. Markow Jr., “Ted”, passed peacefully from this life the afternoon of Aug. 6, 2018, surrounded by love.

He was born in Washington, D.C., on July 9, 1955, where he was adopted by Harriette Tobin and Theodore G. Markow, Sr. He lived much of his early life with his parents and brother, Andy, in South America until the family settled in Kensington, Md.

He loved gardening, playing his Native American Flutes, photography, writing, playing with the family pups, and spending time with his family and friends. Good food and crafted beers usually played a part in those times together.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beth; his daughters, Anna and Gia; his brother, Andrew J. Markow, of Dallas, Texas, and many loving family members and friends.

Please join us for a celebration of Ted’s life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 1:30-3:30 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 1 Middle Street, Brunswick, Maine. We invite you to come and share stories, poetry, memories, and music.

In lieu of flowers, celebratory donations in memory of Ted may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, the Prostate Cancer Network Group, Maine Organic Farmers and Growers Association, The Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust or an organization meaningful to you.
