1931 – 2019
BRUNSWICK: On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, Ruth Fraser, devoted wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 87.
Ruth was born on August 18, 1931 in Bloomington, IN to CC Engleman and Dessie (Alstott) Englman. She graduated Bloomington High School and married Gordon Fraser of Brunswick April 15, 1949. They raised two children, Debra and Scott.
Ruth was a devoted wife and mother, had a passion for excellent food, and was known to be a great hostess. She was a savvy farm business partner. Ruth loved to plan memorable trips or spontaneous local adventures. She loved Bible study and music. Ruth worked at L.L. Bean and was a Town Councilwoman.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her two children, Debra and Scott along with their spouses, her brother, Paul and his wife, 4 grandchildren, Megan, Ethan, Heather and Cody, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 1:30 pm at Lisbon Falls Baptist Church. Those wishing, in lieu of flowers may donate to Lisbon Falls Baptist Church designated “Mission’s Fund in memory of Ruth Fraser” sent to the church at P.O Box 160, Lisbon Falls, ME 04252.
