RICHMOND — A controversial 14-lot subdivision proposed for Route 201 is back before the Planning Board Tuesday.
Local developer Jeremy Purington is seeking subdivision approval under cluster development rules within the town’s ordinance. He asked for several waivers from requirements contained in those rules, which has a group of abutters on Stillwater Lane upset.
At its June 25 meeting, the board declined to vote on whether the application was complete because plans had to be revised. Due to contradicting zoning rules, Purington and his land surveyor, Jan Boucher, were told they have to increase lot sizes, leaving just under 10 acres for open space instead of 17 acres.
The board had anticipated holding a public hearing at the meeting on Tuesday if the application is deemed complete. According to the meeting agenda, however, it will review the application but the public hearing will be scheduled for a later date. A public hearing is required before the project can be approved.
The Planning Board meeting starts at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Richmond Town Office.
