Kenneth Whynot Jr.

GORHAM – Kenneth Whynot Jr., 61, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thanksgiving Day. He was born June 6, 1958, a son of Kenneth and Claudia (Kutcher) Whynot Sr.

Kenneth, known to many as “Spike”, attended Windham Schools. On October 22, 1976, he married Kathy Lynn Sawyer. Kenneth was a jack of all trades who could fix just about anything. He was a skilled welder and fabricator by trade, but could also fulfill work as a machinist, mechanic, electrical as well as carpentry. These skills came in handy when building the beloved camp in Industry.

Kenneth will be remembered as a smart, hard working man with a unique sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Whynot of Gorham; children, Kristopher Whynot and his wife Laura of Limington, and Karrie Sargent and her husband Steven of Oxford; his parents, Claudia and Kenneth Whynot Sr.; sisters, Tambrey Francis and her significant other Rodrick Sawyer of Windham, and Stacey Gendrolis and her husband Michael of Windham; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
